As Good As It Gets (here)

I’m on my last of four 24-hour infusions of my “miracle poison” (this stuff).  By it’s nature, a hospital room, however nice, is not a great place to pass a holiday weekend…but, boy, did I have a lot of family and friends making it as good as it could be!  Thanks to everyone for helping me pass the hours with visits, snacks, calls and some really creative gifts.  Tracey has spent most of her waking hours here since Thursday and tucks me in every night…I never feel alone.  I don’t know what I did to earn all this, but I sure feel lucky.

Last night the whole gang brought the dinner party to me!  They set up a full table-clothed dining extravaganza right here at chez-chemo.  Wondering who the non-Hannel next to Tess is?  That’s her special guy, imported from SLO, Nick, fitting right in.  I’m the bald guy in the background.  A bit of nausea and lingering spinal headache have kept me kind of  horizontal, but I figure I’ll get back to feeling like a normal guy a day or two after blowing this joint tonight.

Cute 🙂 Wish I could have been there but Lucia wanted me home for dinner…something about me leaving soon and needing to spend more time with her…I don’t get it.
