My Head is Full of Cotton Balls

The first bag drips into me, following a short path straight to my heart.  It takes 3 hours to fill my head with cotton balls.

The next four bags take four days to create a labyrinthine rubber band inside my body.  I can smell and taste the construction.  The rubber band stretches from my intestines to my eyeballs, wrapping around my shoulders and routing up either side of my neck.  It wants to attach to my brain and pull on the rest of “me”, but I won’t let it.  When I awake each morning it seems the rubber band has loosened.  But as the day goes by, it tightens, tugging harder and harder on parts of my body that are used to being free.

This cycle is almost over.  My body is struggling to purge the cotton balls and break the rubber band.  It will succeed, and I will be free for a few days until it begins again…

Drip, drip, drip…

[OK, this is different…but I guess I needed to describe (whine about?) “the experience” of the moment rather than just the overall big picture optimism]

You have earned the right to whine if this is what you call whining. You are amazing. All the best.

What a great description Cliff. You have the right to express how it really feels. We are here for you when you are feeling optimistic and not so optimistic. As I see it the more negative stuff you can get out, the less in bottled up inside the body. Chris and I are sending healing thoughts…
