Nothing really new to report…just been enjoying my relative lack of any really debilitating symptoms during the last few days before cycle 5 (I’m at Chateau Robles again Th-Mon 10/11-15). I even spent a day in Vegas over the weekend to surprise my good buddy (of nearly 40 years!) Leah. The symptoms after week 1 of the cycle are pretty tolerable: getting tired/achy often/early, cotton-head, some mouth sores and, of course, less-and-less hair…but, overall, able to do “normal things” for more-and-more hours per day as each cycle progresses.
I had another PET/CT scan this morning, which I fully expect to be totally CLEAN (even better than the one after cycle 2 – remember the dalmation spots?). Protocol is 2 cycles after a clean scan – so my last cycle should be done Nov 5 and chems should be purged before Thanksgiving!
So, what else? We did drop Jordie off at Stanford and we’ve missed him around here – but he’s having a great time.
And I’ve got my home micro-brewing setup about ready to go – here’s my fermenter set up for testing (it maintains the fermentation temperature within about +/- 0.5 deg C). Let me know what brew you like for my post-chemo party (haven’t had a drink since early July!).
